Welcome to the world, sweet baby girl!
Capturing the beauty and innocence of newborns is one of the most special and rewarding experiences for a photographer, and I was thrilled to have the opportunity to photograph this precious little one in my studio.
As with any newborn session, timing is everything. I typically schedule newborn sessions when baby is between 5-14 days old, as they tend to be most sleepy and easily poseable during this time. This precious little one was already so alert and curious at the start of her session.
After discussing the preferences and vision of the parents, I began by setting up the studio with a variety of props and backdrops to provide a range of looks and options for the session. We started with some classic, simple poses, using wraps and baskets to gently swaddle and pose baby. The soft, neutral colors and textures provided a timeless, elegant feel and allowed baby to be the true star of the show.
Next, we incorporated some fun, playful Christmas elements since she was born so close to the holiday. Sweet little Santa Baby! The hat and wrap added pops of color and personality to the images, and the parents were thrilled to see their little one in time for the holidays.
Throughout the session, I made sure to take breaks as needed to feed and soothe baby, as their comfort and safety are always my top priority. I also made sure to capture some sweet, intimate moments between the parents and their newborn, as these are memories they will cherish for a lifetime.
Overall, it was a joy to capture this newborn baby girl's beauty and personality in my studio, and I am so grateful to have been able to be a part of such a special time in this family's life. Congratulations to the proud parents on their new arrival!
